While it might have been one of the year's worst-kept secrets with that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were joining Spider-Man: No Way Home, the two former Spider-Men had a shared moment while watching Marvel's latest in complete secret.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, the Oscar-nominated Garfield, who has also picked up some recent buzz with his performance in Netflix's Tick, Tick, Boom!, talked about joining Tobey Maguire in some black ops style movie watching.

"I snuck into a theater on opening night and just watched with my baseball cap on and my mask," he said. "In fact, I was also with Tobey! Me and Tobey snuck into a theater together and no one knew we were there. It was just a really beautiful thing to share together."

Garfield last portrayed the wallcrawler in 2014's Amazing Spider-Man 2, which had negative to mixed reviews before the character was rebooted again to fit into Marvel's Cinematic Universe now played by Tom Holland. Garfield then talked about how important Spider-Man was to him then and now and what it means for him and his spider brethren.

"To find a brotherhood with Tobey as well, and with Tom, and the fact that we do share a very unique experience," he added. "It's always going to be a part of me, whether I'm playing the character or not, I feel very connected to him."

Spider-Man: No Way Home became the highest-grossing film of 2021, and currently the 12th highest-grossing film of all time clocking in almost $1.4 billion and managing to break several pandemic records.
