Buena Vista Interactive will be showing a preview of its new Game Boy Advance game inspired by the acclaimed computer-animation motion picture Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. The new game, The Pumpkin King, will let you play as the lanky Jack Skellington, the traditional leader of Halloween festivities in the dark and spooky Halloween Town.

In the game, Jack is rejoined by all his friends from the movie, including Zero, the ghostly dog; Sally, the patchwork girl; and the Mayor of Halloween Town. Jack must investigate an invasion of insects that assaults the town in late summer. Jack soon finds that the insects are the work of Oogie Boogie, the mean-spirited creature Jack and Sally defeated in the motion picture. Jack must stop the bug infestation and defeat Oogie in time for Halloween.

Over the course of the game, you'll not only solve your fair share of puzzles, but you'll also meet and interact with characters from the motion picture as well as make use of items like bat boomerangs and jack-o-lanterns. You'll even discover the origins of Jack himself and learn how he gained the title of The Pumpkin King.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King is scheduled for release later this year.
