Cinema chain Alamo Drafthouse is making its debut in Florida, with the opening of its first location in Naples this spring. The new venue, named Alamo Drafthouse Naples, will feature a unique addition to its lobby--a mini golf course inspired by classic films.

"Naples is a golfer's paradise, so we knew we had to do something special there for our first Florida location," Alamo Drafthouse CEO Michael Kustermann told Variety.

The mini golf course will offer nine holes, each inspired by iconic movies. Additionally, the Naples venue will feature a full bar with 24 beers on tap, including a golf-themed cocktail list. Alamo confirmed to Variety that one of the beers served, Chubbs' 19th Hole Blonde Ale, pays homage to the character from Happy Gilmore, portrayed by Carl Weathers. A custom tap handle shaped like Chubbs' wooden hand is also in development in honor of the late actor. Currently, there is no information available on which movies will be featured in the mini golf course.

Situated in a 33,652-square-foot space within the Mercato retail center, the theater will span 11 auditoriums, complete with approximately 650 newly installed luxury recliner seats and 4k digital projection. True to the Alamo Drafthouse experience, the Naples location will offer a scratch-made food menu, local draft beers, and craft cocktails delivered to guests in their seats by stealthy servers. As always, the cinema chain will uphold its strict No Talking/No Texting policy to ensure an undisturbed movie experience for patrons.

Adam Schwegman, partner and executive VP of leasing at North American Properties, which operates Mercato, couldn't pass up the opportunity for a golf pun, calling the addition "a true hole-in-one destination for the Naples community."
