The only thing better than a fresh Batman graphic novel is a Batman graphic novel that's roughly the size of a phonebook, and this deal from Amazon checks both of those boxes. This hardcover Batman Omnibus is on sale at Amazon for $67 (list price is $125). It collects the first 34 issues of the character's New 52 run alongside two annuals.

Drawn by Greg Capullo and written by Scott Snyder, this particular run refreshed Batman for a new age, rebooting the character with a new status quo, stories to tell, and enemies to battle. Capullo and Snyder's run is notable for introducing the Court of Owls to the DC Universe--an insidious group of ultra-wealthy elites ruling Gotham from the shadows--and other storylines here include City of Owls, Death of the Family, and the incredible Zero Year. These comics include some great takes on familiar villains as well, with the Joker being resurrected as a nightmarish nemesis who pushes the Dark Knight to his limits and beyond. At over 1,000 pages in size, this is a lot of reading material.

And you can make your own dynamic duo with the second Batman omnibus edition! This 841-page of tome of Caped Crusader action is also on sale and it collects the rest of Capullo and Snyder's Batman run alongside several other bat-related comic books like Detective Comics, Batman Annuals, Batman: Futures End, and three issues of Batman: Last Knight on Earth. You can also add two excellent Batman event comics to your collection, as Dark Knights: Metal and Dark Knights: Death Metal are on sale.

This is a pretty great collection that pits Batman and the rest of the DC Universe against an army of evil Dark Knights led by the Batman Who laughs, who all escaped an evil multiverse. Dark Knights: Metal is over 700 pages in size and contains every comic book released during this summer event--Death Metal is an even larger doorstopper at almost 1,000 pages. These are both deluxe hardcover editions that were recently released at the start of the year.

For something a little different, we've also listed the excellent Batman by Grant Morrison omnibus editions below. If you like a Silver Age touch with incredibly heady concepts, Morrison's run on Batman is very easy to recommend.
