The Witcher 3 Mod Editor Will Let You Make Your Own Quests In 2024

CD Projekt Red says the free update will only come to PC.

Have you ever thought about tweaking one of Geralt's quests in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? If so, then CD Projekt Red has quite the treat for you. The developer announced that a mod editor is on the way for the RPG in 2024.

The official Witcher account on Twitter/X revealed the new feature for one of the best-selling games of all time. CD Projekt Red wrote that the mod editor "will allow you to create your own experiences in the game by making something completely new or editing existing quests and content. We're planning on releasing it for free in 2024." The developer confirmed in a follow-up post that the mod editor will only be on PC.

No release window was given for the mod editor, though the social media post stated more info will be divulged next year. Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red unveiled that The Witcher 3 had sold over 50 million copies.

More recently, The Witcher 3 received a patch that added more Netflix cosmetics as well as improved cross-play functionality. The RPG featuring the lovable horse Roach also got its own Monopoly board game, too.

As for the future, CD Projekt Red has plans for a brand-new Witcher trilogy, in addition to a new franchise and Cyberpunk sequel. The Witcher 3 has the distinction of earning a rare 10/10 review score from GameSpot.
