In 1996, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was a pleasant surprise, and decades later, the game still holds up quite well, as evidenced by the faithful Nintendo Switch edition released late last year. Discounts have been rare since launch, but right now you can get Super Mario RPG for 25% off at Walmart, which drops the price to $45. If it sells out at Walmart, you can get Super Mario RPG for $46 on eBay or $49 at Amazon. For a more traditional platforming Mario experience, you can pick up Super Mario Bros. Wonder for $49 at Walmart or $50 at Amazon.

In case you missed it the first time in the '90s--or last year--Super Mario RPG is a colorful adventure starring the iconic plumber, his friends, and even Bowser. One of the final big first-party games of the SNES era, the remake retains the gameplay DNA of the original and spruces it up with sharp visuals and minor quality-of-life changes.

This is a very approachable RPG as well, so if you're looking for something to fun to enjoy with your family, Super Mario RPG is a great choice.
