The PS5 DualSense Charging Station Is Super Convenient

Sony's dedicated controller charging stand is a good way to store controllers and really easy to use.

Alongside the PlayStation 5, Sony has launched a number of peripherals that are available at launch for its next-generation console. You've got the Pulse 3D wireless headset, the PS5 Camera, and the DualSense controller--but don't sleep on the less-glamorous but extremely useful DualSense charging station if you're picking up an extra gamepad with your console.

The charging station is simple, but it's that simplicity that makes it so good. In addition to a headphone jack on the bottom of the controller near its grips, the DualSense also has charging leads. The charging station lets you just place your controllers with those leads facing down, clicking into place on the stand. The controller fits into the station cleanly, like a Tetris block, and the lights on the DualSense let you know that it's charging.

It's a simple thing, and yet the charging station is a nice, clean way to store your controllers in an out-of-the-way place and know that they're always ready to go. It's also a lot cleaner than using the USB-C cable that comes with your controller to charge it off the USB ports on either the front or the back of the PS5. The charging station uses the same form-factor as the PS5 as far as design, but unlike its console cohort, it's small and lightweight, making it easy to tuck away into an entertainment system or on a table near where you game.

It's not the most important PS5 peripheral, but if you're the kind of person who finds they've constantly got uncharged controllers floating around, the DualSense charging station is a great way to keep everything organized and clean, while also being super-easy to use.
