The Krakoan Age of X-Men Comics are coming to an end, as Marvel's mutants find themselves on the run and hated more than ever by humanity. Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X will officially conclude an unprecedented age of triumph and tragedy for the X-Men this summer and leads directly into From the Ashes. Marvel has revealed more details on the three core comic books leading this initiative and the creative teams behind them.

First up is X-Men by Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman, which features Cyclops in charge as he leads a team dedicated to safeguarding the mutant species. Beast, Magneto, Magik, Psylocke, Juggernaut, Temper, and Kid Omega will be on this team, and they'll be fighting for the destiny and philosophy of the mutant species.

Uncanny X-Men is billed as a more traditional comic book from Gail Simone and David Marquez, and this one sees an X-Men team led by Rogue in New York City. The roster features Wolverine, Jubilee, Gambit, and Nightcrawler as they set off to save the day in uncanny style. Finally,

Exceptional X-Men features the creative team of Eve L. Ewing and Carmen Carnero. This comic book focuses on the next generation of X-Men as Kate Pryde and Emma Frost mentor a trio of new young mutants: Bronze, Axo, and Melee.

X-Men will launch in July, Uncanny X-Men arrives in August, and Exceptional X-Men rounds out the new arrivals in September. More X-Men titles will be revealed in the weeks to come, and Marvel says that fans can get a sneak peek at the new status quo for its mutants with a special prelude tale by Gail Simone on Free Comic Book Day 2024.

In other X-Men news, a lot is happening in the franchise right now. The theme for Marvel Snap this month is Avengers vs. X-Men, and on the big screen, Deadpool and Wolverine will see the regenerating degenerate team up with Marvel's grumpiest mutant in July. This week also sees the launch of X-Men '97 on Disney+, a direct sequel to the classic animated series. Strangely, X-Men '97 creator Beau DeMayo was fired mere days before it was set to begin.
