Star Wars Day is less than two weeks away, and one of the most exciting events for fans is the premiere of the documentary series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. The eight-part show will be released on Disney+ and details the making of the acclaimed live-action Star Wars TV show. The trailer has now been released.

The show reveals that the series will mix behind-the-scenes footage from the production of The Mandalorian with retrospective roundtable conversations between the filmmakers and cast. Obviously showrunner Jon Favreau appears throughout, and there's also directors such as Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Deborah Chow, plus actors Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano. There are some funny anecdotes about Werner Herzog, footage of the amazing video screen sets, and, of course, Baby Yoda. Check it out below.

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian Episode 1 will premiere on Disney+ worldwide on Monday, May 4, with subsequent episodes releasing each Friday. The Mandalorian Season 2 has already wrapped production and is expected to hit Disney+ in the fall. In addition, the show was recently greenlit for Season 3.

There are also several other Star Wars shows in development for Disney+. Ewan McGregor is set to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a series set between Episodes III and IV, while there's a show based on the Rogue One character of Cassian Andor in the works. In addition, it was reported this week that Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland is working on a new Star Wars series.
