Naughty Dog has released a new update for the PS5 version of The Last of Us Part I, which includes a slew of combat improvements, bug fixes, accessibility features, and even some additional cosmetics.

This update, referred to as patch 1.03, features gameplay improvements, such as a new 1-100 aim sensitivity scale (which used to just be 1-10). Rifles are now hitscan, the pump shotgun received a fire-rate boost, melee attacks while sprinting now stagger enemies for a longer period of time, and companion characters will now rescue the main player from enemy grapples more consistently than before.

Update 1.03 includes a lengthy list of bug fixes, too. For instance, Director's Commentary will now play during the end credits, the accuracy of the El Diablo pistol when using the scope has been corrected, and Infected will no longer enter the "beg for life" state during combat.

As part of the update, many accessibility features have been fixed. The Navigation Assistance goal placement has been improved, certain collectibles will now highlight correctly in High Contrast Mode, and specific audio cues will now play correctly.

The 1.03 update also features new HBO cosmetics for Ellie, including Mortal Kombat, The Wire, and Game of Thrones shirts.

The full list of 1.03 patch notes is on the Naughty Dog website. Update 1.03 is available for the PS5 version of The Last of Us Part I now.
