The Last Faith Has Major Castlevania Vibes, Available Now

The Last Faith takes equal notes from Castlevania and Bloodborne.

The Last Faith is a 2D, Metroidvania-styled, Soulslike in a wintery and horrific gothic world. It's now available on console and PC.

In the constellation of its genre, The Last Faith is distinctly Castlevania-tinged. However, rather than a straightforward quest to kill Dracula, protagonist Eryk must explore the margins of a disturbing world to discover the secrets behind his ailing memory and decaying conscience. Eryk's journey will put him in conflict with ancient gods and mysterious religious orders. As you explore, you'll find a variety of new tools to traverse the landscape and battle enemies, like spells, firearms, and melee weapons. You'll even obtain new weapons and special abilities from bosses.

With these tools, you can customize Eryk to suit your combat tastes and level up specific attributes to strengthen your build. Weapons and attack also appear to have elemental properties, like fire, lightning, or blood. As in Bloodborne, you can stagger enemies with specific attacks and then deal massive damage. Once defeated, you can finish off enemies with gruesome executions.

If you pick up the game for a couple dollars off as part of Fanatical's Birthday Bash Sale, you'll also get a free mystery gift, either a coupon or a game.
