The Division Delayed, Now Slated for Early 2016 Release

@seanwil545: the same year they released Rayman Legends they also released Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag which was a great game. I've not played these next games but they released Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and South Park: The Stick of Truth, they are supposedly good

The Division is getting delayed because they want to release the newly ruined franchise Rainbow Six. Way to go Ubisoft, make us wait about 8-9 years for a new Rainbow Six and then release it as MP only, bastards.

@vackillers: Well it was originally 2014, so late 2015 should have been ample time. But, as long as it's done right, I'll wait, there are other games to play. But if anything makes developers lose credibility, it's when they delay and delay games so they can "polish" them, and still end up with a s**t sandwich after all that time.

I knew it. Not surprised by a bit. They are crazy to launch so many games after just announcing AC Syndicate.

Don't really care WHEN a game is released, only that it GETS released and that it works.

They saw how the public reacted to Watch Dogs after showing off incredible video and then the real game was nowhere close. They went and showed that awesome video of The Division already. Now they have to live up to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up in "Holiday 2016" or early 2017.

Keep in mind, this was shown in 2013....

lol when they will finaly release it, game will be outdated and will fail to gather all the cash for Ubisoft to cover development costs. After that Ubisoft will claim that "team failed to deliver" and will "announce layoffs" and people will lose jobs and Ubi will claim "they are sorry about it" and gamers will still be buying AC games... and our gaming industry will not change because of all us, and we will keep asking "Whyyy?!" and all over again.

do it right, get it done, don't care how long, just look at destiny, sure it passed the time, but what if it came out now? or next year, that would of been the game we were waiting for, not the cash grab splice job it turned out to be.

What a big surprise!!!! Actually, the bigger surprise is that they're not going to just release it and patch it later, the Ubisoft way!

They realized the game's not broken enough, need more time to create more bugs.

i also think ubi shouldnt or dont deserve any flak at all.

Look at the last asassins creed game, ubi gave me a free game where i could choose from the list n farcry4 i thought it was a scam at first, as how often do games devs try to make up for there mistakes but ubi tried and did. Look at all those devs especially the devs of payday2 those overkill guys wouldnt lift a finver to put the consoles vers rite for a year, a whole year because there games was so fubar'ed

while i am upset by the news of a delay n more peed of about seeing the remainder of the year on re-releases (it really has not justified a pair of consoles that released two years ago being the price they were at launch), becahse of nothing but polished up releases (i wont be falling for that again..

But anyway back to the division, a game with a new engine, completely new, mmorpg and btw it looks stunning, so if it takes a little while longer then so be it.

So far n i can not believe im going to say this ive had more enjoyement out of free2play games than these repolished recycled games ive played for god knows how long on 360 to point ive played em for abit n now they collect dust, those f2p games are a godsend to my xbox, keep em coming please..

While Ubi tends to get a lot of flak for previous screw ups (and justifiably so), this games main developer is Massive. They've created a whole new engine from the ground up just for it. While I take everything Ubi does with a huge grain of salt, I'm a bit more lenient with this game because of Massive's involvement.

It looks like Massive aimed really high with this one, and is doing everything possible to make it right. Like someone posted earlier. The amount of detail in this game is insane.

Will be "delayed" further to "polish to excellence". Pls. never believe ubisoft lies. The game is more likely to be ready spring 2017.

More time for Halo 5.

If not for witcher 3 we would have suffered the 2nd U.S. Video game crash. The only question now is what next? Halo?

This game is going to be like the Last Guardian. It will be delayed next year too, but this time it will be indefinite. This is getting old. If I can understand a few month delay but every time they delay the game its always until the following year. First the game was coming in 2014 then delayed to this year and now delayed until next year. At least I have the Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

NOOOoooooooo!!! Witcher 3 next week... One game at a time.
