It may have been shorter than the other E3 2019 presentations, Nintendo's E3 2019 Direct was nonetheless packed with tons of announcements and reveals. We got a look at the surprising new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters, a release date for the newly titled Animal Crossing: New Horizon, the Nintendo Switch reveal of The Witcher 3, a teaser for a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, and more.

The biggest piece of news from Nintendo's E3 2019 Direct was the reveal of a Breath of the Wild sequel. Not much is known about the game, and Nintendo didn't provide a release date or window, but at least we know the company's hard at work on another adventure for Link and Zelda.

Yes, it's been delayed to 2020, but we finally know the game's name--Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The upcoming installment will take players to uncharted territory as you board the Nook Inc. charter, which travels to a deserted island. At present, the game is set to debut on March 20, 2020.

Nintendo's mash-up brawler will get a slew of new fighters. Both the titular Banjo-Kazooie cast and characters from the Dragon Quest series--specifically, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age--will make their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Dragon Quest characters will arrive this summer, while Banjo-Kazooie will be available this fall.

Luigi's Mansion 3 Revealed

We finally got a look at Luigi's Mansion 3. The ghost adventure came with both a release window and a gameplay trailer showing off lots of frights and ghost-wrangling action. Luigi's Mansion 3 will spook the Nintendo Switch sometime this year.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Gets Release Date

Link will embark on another adventure in the beautifully-reimagined Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. In addition to the game announcement, Nintendo is manufacturing a cute little Link Amiibo for prosperity. Both the game and Amiibo are set to launch on September 20.

Astral Chain Release Date Revealed

PlatinumGames' third-person, anime-action game Astral Chain has received a release date. Developers of the Bayonetta series, NieR: Automata, and more showed off an electric trailer highlighting the game's combat and boss fights. It will launch on August 30.

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition Revealed

While it was previously rumored, developer CD Projekt Red and Nintendo have confirmed the Nintendo Switch existence of The Witcher 3. No definitive release date has been given, but Nintendo did state that the third-person action game will arrive on the Nintendo Switch sometime this year
