Playing video games can be an expensive hobby, no question. But if you bide your time and pay attention to sales, you can often save quite a bit of money, even on recent games. That's great in theory, but if you're ready for a new game now, you want to know what deals are available this very moment. To help you out, we've gone through this week's video game sales to find the best deals on the best games for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Before we dig into the deals, you should pick up any free games you're eligible to receive. If you're a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you can downloaded September's free games for your console. And if you have an Amazon Prime account, don't forget to grab your free PC games from Twitch this month.
