The Best Gaming Headset Is On Sale For A Huge Discount
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 is on sale for just $130, making it a great time to upgrade your audio.
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 is the best gaming headset of 2023 when you weigh price and performance, and right now, you can grab it for the lowest price we've seen. Typically listed for $180, Amazon is currently discounting the premium headset to just $130. It's not the only stellar high-end SteelSeries headset on sale right now. You can also get the Arctis Nova Pro Wired for $200, if you're an Amazon Prime member.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7
$130 (was $180)
The Arctis Nova 7 is fully compatible with both PC and PS5. On PS5, you’ll even benefit from Tempest 3D Audio support. SteelSeries built the Nova 7 with both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connections (the latter of which is supported by a USB-C receiver). Toss in 38-hour battery life, a noise-canceling microphone, and high-quality construction, and it’s easy to see why the headset is so popular.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wired
$200 (was $250) | Amazon Prime members only
You should also consider the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wired if you're an Amazon Prime member. Discounted to $200 (normally $250) for Prime members, the Nova Pro Wired is SteelSeries' best headset from an audio and ergonomics perspective. It has slightly better audio than the wireless version and a lot less expensive. Of course, you have to deal with a wire, so it's not for everyone. However, the included GameDAC certainly helps make the Nova Pro Wired such a great performer. The Nova Pro also has a better build quality than the Nova 7 thanks to its plush, leatherette earcups. Check out our SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro review for more details.
This version of the Nova Pro is designed for PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
One of the coolest parts of the Nova 7 is its retractable microphone, which allows you to stow it away during single-player games (instead of tossing it in a drawer and losing track of it). The plush earcups are also incredibly comfortable, allowing you to enjoy prolonged gaming sessions without any fuss.
Other notable features include 360-degree Spatial Audio, pro-grade parametric EQ for crisp sounds, and multiple points of adjustment to ensure a proper fit. And to go along with the 38-hours of battery life mentioned above, you’ll be glad to hear that just 15 minutes of charging will get you six hours of playtime--which is great news if you forget to plug it in overnight.
The Arctis Nova 7P is also on sale, and it features a vibrant color scheme that complements the PS5 console. It’s a bit more expensive at $154--and since it also works on PS5 and PC, there’s not much of a reason to spend the extra cash. The only functional difference is the 7P has a sidetone adjustment dial, whereas the Nova 7 has a chatmix dial. When using the Nova 7 on PS5, the chatmix dial will be inoperable, because third-party headsets can't adjust chatmix on PS5.
If you're looking for a more budget-friendly headset but like the design of the Arctis Nova, check out the Arctis Nova 1X, which is on sale for only $49 at Amazon. Meanwhile, the Arctis Nova 3 is discounted to $70 (down from $100).
