Sega has released the first details on Virtua Fighter 4 for the PS2.

Comments
Sega has released the first details on the PlayStation 2 conversion of Virtua Fighter 4. The PS2 game will feature new modes of play, including an enhanced training mode and a so-called AI mode. Also in the PS2 version of the game is a grade system, which is akin to the VF4 character access card from the Japanese arcade version. Specific elements related to that feature will be reconstructed for the PlayStation 2 with the system's memory card. In terms of visuals and controls, Sega promises that the PlayStation 2 game will be virtually identical to the arcade original. The environments will be interactive and alter visually during battles. For example, walls will collapse when a fighter is thrown into it, and the snow will move as fighters move around the arena. Virtua Fighter 4 will be released on January 31, 2002, for the Japanese PlayStation 2. GameSpot will have more from the TGS show floor.
