In a statement, Telltale teased that the ending to Episode 4 will leave players in "very different places" depending on the choices they make in the third act.

Here is the official synopsis for Guardian of Gotham:

"In Episode 4, Penguin has taken control of Wayne Enterprises, and the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane has a new guest--you--Bruce Wayne. With the Batman removed from the streets of Gotham City, Harvey Dent's forces and the Children of Arkham are at war, with innocent citizens caught in the crossfire. To escape the 'comforts' of your padded cell, you must choose allies to aid in your escape, even if they aren't the sort to put a smile on your face. How far are you willing to go for justice? For vengeance? What now, Dark Knight?"

Telltale's Batman series is also available to buy on a physical disc; this includes the first episode pre-installed, while the remaining can be downloaded when they become available. There will be five episodes in all.

The game features the voice of Troy Baker (Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare) as Bruce Wayne. Richard McGonagle (Uncharted series) plays Carmine Falcone, while Laura Bailey (Gears of War 4, Halo 5: Guardians) portrays Selina Kyle.
