Game publisher TDK Mediactive has announced a deal with BKN International that gives it the rights to develop and publish games based on the animated fantasy television series UBOS, which stands for Ultimate Book of Spells. The children's television series follows the adventures of three adolescent kids--Cassie, a junior witch; Gus, a half-elf junior wizard; and Verne, a logical kid who can't seem to grasp the idea of magic. The three heroes must travel through underground caverns filled with dangerous creatures on their quest to recover the world's missing magic.

Under the terms of the five-year agreement, TDK Mediactive has the rights to create and publish UBOS games for all video game consoles, handheld devices, and PC platforms. The first games based on the television show are scheduled for release in 2002.
