Branching out from the rhythm-based Guitar Hero franchise, Band Hero promises "the hottest chart-topping hits from everyone's favorite acts" upon its November launch. With that in mind, it comes as little surprise that the game will now feature the top-selling pop country singer Taylor Swift as a playable character.

She's reaching out to pull in her imminent royalties.

Today, Activision announced that three of Swift's songs--"Love Story" and "You Belong With Me" from her quadruple-platinum-plus album Fearless and "Picture to Burn" from her eponymous debut record--will be performed by a virtual version of Swift. Last month, an official game trailer unveiled a handful of hit tracks from Lily Allen, No Doubt, The All-American Rejects, Queen, and the Jackson 5. (See the full list below.)

According to Activision, Swift sold more albums than any other recording artist in 2008. Her album Fearless hit double-platinum status four weeks after its debut that same year. Over the course of her music career, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter has sold over 7.75 million albums.

The game's official Web site now features a video of developers collaborating with Swift on creating her in-game virtual avatar. Band Hero will come out this November and will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, and DS.
