Tarzan Releases for the PlayStation

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced on Tuesday that the PlayStation adaptation of the hit Disney summer blockbuster, Tarzan, has shipped to stores.

Players take on the role of Tarzan, Jane, and in some areas Terk (a friend of Tarzan's) and navigate these characters through obstacles in a variety of jungle environments (14 in all). Animated sequences from the feature film are used throughout the game.

"We are very excited to add Disney's Tarzan to our library of family-friendly titles,'' said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "We are anticipating Disney's Tarzan to appeal to moviegoers and gamers of all ages, thus supporting PlayStation's position as a viable entertainment option for the entire family."
