Tamagotchi: Sink or Swim

Costing even more than the tiny beast itself is a clear plastic diving suit tailored to fit over Bandai's popular handheld virtual pet Tamagotchi.

Now on sale in Japan, the Tamagotchi "submarine" is a small, Tamagotchi-shaped waterproof casing that houses the Tamagotchi and permits owners to bring their "pets" with them to a depth of up to 90 feet of water. Owners will never have to miss a feeding, spanking, or play session - even while taking a holiday by the sea.

A small knob permits access to the small buttons used to manipulate Tamagotchi's world.

The Cousteau-inspired casing sells for 3900 yen.
