Climax has announced that Symphony of Light, a one- to four-player RPG is currently in development and will be headed to the PlayStation2 next year. Previously the title was being prepared for the Dreamcast console.

In Symphony of Light you take control of four characters as they embark on an epic quest across an entire world. Along the way you'll come across enemies of all sorts that you'll have to fend off with swords and magic – all the standard actions found in all popular RPGs.

According to the company, the game is currently reaching the end of its preproduction phase, so actual coding will begin soon. Look for more coverage on Symphony of Light in the near future.
