Switch Online's Free NES Games For August Revealed, And One Is Incredibly Rare

Pretty sure a bunch of non-rare SNES games would be better received than unbelievably rare NES games. I love old games but the bulk of the NES games they're putting out are just a bit too dated now.

Drip feed needs to stop.
Someone finally creates a Netflix for Roms and 'of course' it had to be Nintendo doing their same old nonsense.
This system is more than capable of running it's backlog of everything in the 90's and prior.
Could charge 60$ a year for it, but nope... 20$ and NES dripfeed.... JFC Nintendo...

If Nintendo actually wants me to buy a console from them, let alone subscribe to one of their services, they have to do a better job than this. I will not pay them for minimal effort. These games are dinky in size and could be put on the service en masse. SEGA does a far better job at making a good selection of their retro games available for dirt cheap. Nintendo is just a company of money grubbing crooks. I've purchased so many games on their virtual consoles, yet I no longer have access to these purchased games due to their crooked policies and lack of purchase history. Games shouldn't be locked to a single piece of hardware! I buy something on Steam or PSN and it's mine until those companies go under forever. I don't expect these digital purchases to be around for all-time. But they should always be acknowledged until the company goes belly up.

Main reason to get Nintendo online:

Play with friends!

It is crazy to me that The Switch is pretty amazing, but the online part of The Switch continues to lack many gaming catalogues including Super Nintendo games. If Nintendo wants many people to feel the online service is worth it, then they need to add a lot of games from many of their other consoles. Where are the N64 and GameCube games?

Nintendo can take their slim picking and shove it. I am not paying them money for crap hardware, crap online and NES games that have been on the internet for 20+ years.

Ill stick with my PS4 and Xbox One X thank you. I like Nintendo I really do,but I do not care for the Switch. The wonky looking controls ruin it for me. Maybe after they redesign them I might buy one.

I'll probably let my Switch Online subscription lapse since I can't even play NES games with a friend online without it going wonky. (Let alone play some Smash Bros. or most other games with anyone else.)

Vice Project Doom is worth a look. It's like Ninja Gaiden, except with a couple of driving stages (think Spy Hunter).

Can't they at least give out free SNES games? The best SNES games are classics but even the best NES games feel a little too dated.

So I'm on to God of War. Never played any of these games. The new one is more of an ARPG. How will it fare, I wonder?
