Mario's influence within the gaming world can hardly be matched, even on mobile. Apple recently released its charts for 2017, and Super Mario Run happens to take the crown in two of the lists.

Super Mario Run released at the end of 2016 on December 15. Since then, it has netted over 200 million downloads. Now it sits at the top of the top 20 free iPhone and iPad games lists. The charts are based on total downloads from the initial download/sale of each app.
