Super Mario RPG: Where To Find All Flags For 3 Musty Fears And Unlock The Ghost Medal

If you want to score the Ghost Medal, you'd better track down these flags.

Comments

There are a lot of useful accessories in Super Mario RPG, but the Ghost Medal ranks among some of the best since it halves the damage its wearer takes. To get it, though, you'll first need to find three flags for a group called the 3 Musty Fears, whom you'll encounter when sleeping in a specific bed in Monstro Town. Below, we'll tell you everything you need to know about encountering the 3 Musty Fears and finding the flags for them.

Where to get the flags for the 3 Musty Fears in Super Mario RPG

To start the 3 Musty Fears' flag quest, head to the home closest to the stairs in Monstro Town. Enter the bed and go to sleep to be visited by a Dry Bones, a Boo, and a Greaper--collectively known as the 3 Musty Fears. They'll ask you to track down three flags for them across the world, which shouldn't take long with the information we've got for you here.

These are the locations of all three flags, but note that they're invisible, so you'll just need to interact with the prompt when you arrive at each location.

  • Dry Bones' Flag - Under the bed inside Mario's home. Creepy.
  • Boo's Flag - Behind the flower sign by the entrance to Rose Town.
  • Greaper's Flag - Between the O and the A of the word "GOAL" on Yo'ster Isle.

With all three flags obtained, return once more to the bed in Monstro Town and go to sleep. The 3 Musty Fears will appear again and grant you the Ghost Medal. We recommend equipping it if you need an extra defense boost--or sell it for a whopping 800 coins.
