Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Preorder Guide: Release Date, Bonuses, And New Amiibo

We're just weeks away from the next big Nintendo Switch release. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury launches for Nintendo Switch on February 12. Nintendo originally unveiled the platformer as part of Super Mario's 35th anniversary celebration. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is available to preorder now in digital and physical formats. The game will be accompanied by a pair of new Amiibo and a red and blue Super Mario-themed Nintendo Switch console.

The Nintendo Switch - Mario Red and Blue edition comes with a red-plated console, dock, and Joy-Cons as well as a blue Joy-Con grip and multi-colored hardshell Switch case (with screen protector). The console doesn't come with the game, but it will be available on the same day.

A port of the great 2013 Wii U game, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury will feature new content unique to Nintendo Switch, including new levels, and fresh new ways to play. In the most recent trailer, Bowser Jr. is shown accompanying Mario on his adventure by revealing hard-to-find items. In addition to new Cat Mario and Cat Peach Amiibo, Nintendo will re-release Bowser and Bowser Jr. Amiibo figures--both of which will unlock features in the game. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury will support four-player local and online co-op, though a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required for online play.

The original Wii U version earned a 9/10 in our Super Mario 3D World review, with critic Mark Walton praising the wonderful level design and wide variety of content.
