Sunrise reveals all-star anime simulation game

Dozens of anime characters will be featured in this simulation RPG.

According to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, Bandai has announced Sunrise World War, a simulation RPG for the PlayStation 2 that will feature anime characters from Sunrise Productions since 1981. There will be 39 Sunrise anime characters in the game, some of whom are from anime as old as Armored Trooper Votoms, and some of whom are from newer anime such as the The Big O.

In Sunrise World War, the combat will be in 3D, while the preparation and adventuring sequences will be in 2D. The game will also feature cutscenes taken directly from different anime series.

Sunrise World War's development is currently 60-percent complete. The game is scheduled for release in August in Japan.
