Summer of Pride 2020 kicked off on June 1, with the event's second year boasting involvement from a variety of companies. The event, presented by Midboss, started off with a Twitch stream and will feature a month of queer-friendly initiatives including sales with online retailers and fundraising for LGBTQ+ charities.

Summer of Pride is a month-long event featuring LGBTQ+ streamers playing queer games, and it's currently in its second year running. People involved this year include well-known queer streamers like BiqtchPuddin, OpheliaUp, Sierra Myst, and more. Those who recognize Biqtch Puddin may remember them from Netflix's The Boulet Brothers' DRAGULA, or their history with the competitive fighting game scene.

This year's streaming events will be geared towards fundraising for LGBTQ+ charities and non-profits like the Trevor Project and GaymerX. Those participating in Summer of Pride will have opportunities to donate to those causes via various TILTIFY campaigns that viewers will be able to access and spread the word about.

A press release mentions that there will also be hefty discounts in popular online storefronts like Steam and the Switch Eshop for queer-friendly games. The prices of games like Tacoma and 2064: Read Only Memories have been slashed on the Switch's Eshop by up to 80%, and these titles along with others of the same focus will be discounted from June 20 to June 30. For PC game aficionados, Valve will be putting games with similar LGBTQ+ themes on sale via Steam as well from June 9 to June 25.
