Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn Is Embracing Her Craziness On-Set

DC supervillains get team tattoos.

Following the teaser trailer and the full cast shot, the latest behind-the-scenes image from the upcoming DC comic adaptation Suicide Squad gives us a proper look at leading villainess Harley Quinn. Actress Margot Robbie can can be seen in full costume, using her tattoo skills on director David Ayer to ink the word 'skwad' on his forearm.

Producer Andy Horowitz posted the picture on Twitter, and this was followed by images from fellow cast members Jai Courtney, Will Smith, and Joel Kinnaman, all indulging in similar team-bonding ink action. Kinnaman joked that Smith's tattooing skills were "like watching a drunk baby fly a helicopter".

Suicide Squad is due for release on August 5, 2016, and also stars Jared Leto as the Joker. It tells the story of a group of death row supervillains, who are employed covertly by the US government to perform dangerous missions, in return for reduced prison sentences. It will be the third film in Warner's extended DC universe franchise, following 2014's Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, due next March.
