There's no shortage of Pokemon-themed merchandise out there, but the newest additions to the Pokemon product ecosystem are some of the coolest I've seen in a long time. The Pokemon Company partnered with skateboard designer Bear Walker to create a line of limited-edition skateboards featuring five Gen 1 Pokemon.

Naturally, one of the designs is Pikachu, and it's joined by Mewtwo, Gengar, Gyarados, and Charizard. Together, the five make up Series 1 of the Pokemon Center X Bear Walker collection, which goes on sale at the Pokemon Center February 11. The Pokemon Company hasn't announced how much the boards will cost, but the "Series 1" moniker hints that more Pokemon skateboards could be made in the future.

Now Playing: Let's Talk About That January 2020 Pokemon Direct

Most skateboards feature graphics on the bottom, with grip tape covering the top. Bear Walker cuts the wood in a way that eliminates the need for grip tape, allowing him to paint gorgeous art on the top of each board. Walker has created a variety of custom decks inspired by pop culture since launching his business in 2016, including It, Joker, and Breaking Bad.

"Pokemon is highly recognizable with a massive fanbase in the skateboard community, including myself, so for this collection I wanted to make more than a traditional branded deck," Walker said in the press release. "I’m setting out to make functional works of art featuring Pokemon and iconography that fans love in the custom style my decks are known for."

The boards aren't available to pre-order, but you can sign up for the Pokemon Center's mailing list to stay up-to-date on availability.
