Gamers in Asia hoping for a local version of Star Wars: The Old Republic, which came out in North American markets last December, can now do so. Players living in Hong Kong and Singapore can purchase the standard and digital deluxe editions on sale right now.

The standard version will cost gamers HK$389 and S$64.90 ($52), while the online service Origin.com exclusive digital deluxe edition will run gamers HK$465 and S$76.90 ($61). The latter version will offer five digital items for use in-game: the flare gun, the training droid, the holodancer, the holocam, and the Single Trooper Aerial Platform vehicle.

New players within the region can get an exclusive in-game title called the Founder's Medal if they were billed at least once for an active Old Republic recurring subscription and redeem an Old Republic 60-day prepaid game time code. The deadline for this offer is April 29 at 9:01 p.m.

Players who bought a North American copy of the game and wish to transfer their characters to a new Asia Pacific server can do so, though guilds and guild membership will not be transferred to the new server. The player's friends list will be reset as well. In-game mail and items on the Galactic Trade Network auction house are also not transferrable to the new server.

Subscription fees are still identical to the North American format: a month's subscription is $14.99, while a three-month subscription will run gamers $13.99 per month or a onetime charge of $41.97. A six-month subscription will cost gamers either a onetime charge of $77.94 or $12.99 per month.

Forms of payment for Hong Kong and Singapore customers include Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Subscription payment options are with the aforementioned three in addition to Paypal. For more information, check out the official Old Republic FAQ.
