Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Drops RAM Requirement Significantly

Only 16 GB is required for the Recommended specs.

EA's big new Star Wars game, Jedi Fallen Order, is coming out in November. The publisher has now clarified a key detail about the PC version. EA's Ben Walke confirmed on Twitter that the recommended specs for Jedi Fallen Order now call for 16 GB of RAM instead of 32 GB.

The recommended specs listing for Jedi Fallen Order previously displayed the 32 GB requirement. It's unclear why the RAM requirement is being cut in half. When the 32 GB requirement was originally announced, some fans balked at the big number.

32gb of ram - for what resolution? it better be 4k native, because 1080p native doesn't need it, unless graphics look like real life like (how i see in the real world).

Right now 32 GB would be overkill but it may happen down the road as 16 GB is becoming more recommended these days. I never build an system with less than 16 GB.

32gb would be ridiculous, but I hope this doesn't mean that the graphics are not downgraded badly from the footage that we have seen...

@fotis52: I don't see any graphics requiring that much RAM. How could they? RDR2 is still one of the best looking games out there and it's running perfectly fine on consoles with what, 8GB of RAM?

@Atzenkiller: I know but then what was the 32gb for? Not open world, probably not huge, I can't think of anything else that the 32gb would be for...

@fotis52: Super high res light saber effects maybe. If you zoom in far enough you might discover the view on another galaxy. Sounds more like some technical issue to me though, that they've now managed to fix before the release.

Requiring 32GB would be ridiculous. The PS4 and Bone S have 8GB only.
