Actor Cameron Monaghan, who plays Cal Kestis in Respawn's Star Wars Jedi series, has casually revealed that he is working on a third game in the franchise. Speaking during the Ocala Comic-Con event in Florida this month, Monaghan discussed the unannounced game, saying, "We're working on the third. We are in the process of doing it right now." He added that it's a "big undertaking."

Monaghan then dialed things back a bit and said there are "some conversations" going on about the next game. "Hopefully when all is said and done we'll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys," he said.

Now Playing: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor | Mark Hamill Jedi Coaching Session Trailer

A video of the Comic-Con panel was uploaded to YouTube by Saix_XIII.

A third entry in the Star Wars Jedi series would be no surprise, as the series was planned as a trilogy. Director Stig Asmussen, however, has left Respawn and parent company EA, so a third entry in the series would go forward without him.

Tina Ivlev, who plays Nightsister Merrin in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, appeared on the Comic-Con panel alongside Monaghan. She did not discuss a third entry but said she will appear in the Call of Duty franchise in the future. Whether or not this is a role in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III or a different project is unknown, however.

In addition to a potential third Star Wars Jedi game, Respawn continues to work on its popular battle royale game Apex Legends and has a new Star Wars FPS in the works. Additionally, Respawn is assisting Bit Reactor on a Star Wars strategy game.
