Star Trek Discovery is set to return to Paramount+ in November. It's been confirmed that Season 4 of the show will premiere on Thursday, November 18.

The date was announced as part of the virtual Star Trek Day celebration. This is the first news about Star Trek Discovery Season 4 since the first trailer was released back in April. We'll probably get another trailer before November, but in the meantime, you can check out the earlier promo, which revealed it reveals that the crew of the Discovery will have to deal with a massive"gravitational anomaly" that seems to be causing chaos across the galaxy.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 stars Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Culber, David Ajala as Booker, and Blu del Barrio as Adira.

A synopsis has been released for the season, which reads, "Season four of Star Trek: Discovery finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the USS Discovery facing a threat unlike any they've ever encountered. With Federation and non-Federation worlds alike feeling the impact, they must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all."

During Star Trek Day, it was also announced that Picard has been renewed for Season 3, months ahead of its Season 2 premiere in February next year. The show stars Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, and Picard Season 2 will see the return of John de Lancie as Q (John de Lancie), one of Picard's nemeses in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
