Star Fox Gets Retitled for Europe
The 64-bit sequel to Star Fox will get a name revision for its release into the European market this fall.
Super Nintendo fans may remember that the European title for Star Fox had to be changed because of its closeness to a UK company named Star Vox.
Renamed Star Wing, the game reportedly sold poorly in European markets with leftover stock still seen in stores.
Recently, Nintendo revealed the European title for Star Fox 64, and instead of Star Wing 64, Nintendo has gone with the title "Lylat Wars" - alledgedly to distance it from the SNES original and its lackluster sales. The title is scheduled to hit store shelves in the UK in August. Pictured at the left is the new logo for the game.
