Spy Hunter Hands-On Impressions

It's the same old gang of spies - only this time they're fleeing onto your mobile. We check out THQ's port of the classic at E3.

Spy Hunter (2005)

Spy Hunter was recently revitalized on the Zodiac, but this version for J2ME and BREW is a carbon copy of the arcade original. Even in its alpha state, Spy Hunter had tight controls and arcade-accurate graphics with a solid frame rate.

THQ promises that the game levels will last as long as those in the arcade game (read: forever). The point system, weaponry, and even the weapons van have survived the translation.

Sound wasn't available, but a fall release gives THQ plenty of time to polish an already impressive game.
