Space Empires IV Gold announced

North Carolina-based game publisher Shrapnel Games has announced that it will release Space Empires IV Gold, an enhanced version of its space empire building game Space Empires IV. The new game will add a number of new features to the original game, including full support for TCP/IP connections, improved sound and system graphics, a new manual, a map editor, and more than 200MB of user-made mods.

Space Empires IV Gold is currently in beta testing and is scheduled for release in February 2002. For more information, visit the official Shrapnel Games Web site.
