SouthPeak Games may not have the highest summits in the game-publishing cordillera, but it is broadening its range onto Xbox Live Arcade. The publisher today announced its first title for Microsoft's downloadable service will be Things on Wheels, an RC racer developed by Mad Tracks studio Load Inc. The publisher also said a PC version was in the works.

The little RC racers that could.

Slated for release in summer 2008, TOW promises easily grasped, arcade-style gameplay where players hop into radio-controlled cars and zip around a Florida Art Deco house. The game looks to incorporate everyday household objects as obstacles players will have to surmount on their way through the foyer, past the dining room, out the breakfast nook, and across the finish line.

TOW is the first game from SouthPeak after the publisher announced earlier this month that it would be partnering with Global Services Partners Acquisition to create a publicly held company. That deal, valued at $31 million, is expected to close in April.
