Sony may "monitor and record" all PSN activity on PlayStation 4

Nothing new, many TOS or user agreements are in place through various companies in todays world.

If this comes as a shock to you, then you have never read an TOS you have agreed to.

So long as you aren't doing/saying anything that you shouldn't be doing/saying then there really isn't a problem. Although I'm sure those who are paranoid of this sort of thing will overreact like always.

okay, now it's decided; i'll just get ps3 (and loads of games) next to my 360, then i'll wait like a year or something before even thinking about buying next-gen consoles....

I imagine this is a similar deal to how mobile phone service providers monitor activity on their networks, even if it's passively. So long as we're all good boys and girls and mind our manners we won't have a problem.

So pretty much like everything else like youtube, rude and offensive behaviour etc... I don't see why this is getting moaned about, it also says specifically about PSN usage. So online I take it. Such as being banned for swearing and aggressive behaviour to other peers and so on, or weird and wonderful recordings that shouldn't be allowed to go online haha.

people can be so dumb,this is nothing new its been around since the NES days,if u have an old cartridge read the SUT on it, it says the exact same thing,but most people dont read usage terms,as for collecting data its on PS3,XBOX 360,Wii U,and GASP,STEAM,its not about spying its more like a survey,sony just updated terms of usage to cover all the new media stuff on PS4.its nothing like XBON at e3.

Who cares, if I bought the PS camera, and they recorded me while playing, I'd just play fully naked. I'd even show them my hairy ass. Same goes for the Xbox and kinect.

Well i'm not sure if i'm to happy (or even care) about this but at least they handled breaking out the news waaaay better than MS. PS4 in 4 days!!!!!

Surely Sony didn't find out about this yesterday. They just chose not to tell you about it until they have your money.

I'm not sure who's strategy was better: Microsoft's or Sony's. Both are doing the same thing more and more every day. Difference is that Microsoft came out and said it on day 1; Sony is now letting us know, just days before the launch. So, who is worse? I'm still leaning toward Microsoft because they are forcing a purchase of a camera, that has to be connected (but can be turned off).

I guess my dilemma isn't that serious, since I'm staying away from consoles this generation (at least for a few+ years). I do enjoy the comments though.
