"We're delighted to have writing underway on two two new IP-based projects," Pope said.

Additionally, Pope said the team at Sony Pictures TV is excited to work on Season 2 of the Twisted Metal series for Peacock.

Very little is known about the God of War and Horizon TV shows, apart from the fact that the God of War series is being made for Prime Video and the Horizon show for Netflix.

Sony's PlayStation Productions, an internal division focused on bringing PlayStation game franchises to TV and film, is handling the God of War and Horizon shows. For the big screen, PlayStation Productions is also behind the upcoming Gravity Rush and Ghost of Tsushima films.

Zooming further out, PlayStation Pictures has partnered with Nintendo to create a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, with Shigeru Miyamoto and Marvel's Avi Arad on board.

Beyond the gaming shows, some of Sony Pictures TV's other upcoming programs include Season 4 of The Boys, the final season of Cobra Kai, and the new show Dark Matter.
