Single-Player Dead By Daylight Spin-Off The Casting Of Frank Stone Revealed
Behaviour Interactive and Supermassive Games are teaming up.
Two studios known for scaring the heck out of their players are joining forces. During The Game Awards, Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive have announced The Casting Of Frank Stone, a new, single-player narrative horror game set in the Dead By Daylight universe.
The Casting Of Frank Stone follows a group of teenagers who live in a village in Oregon reeling from the history of the titular Frank Stone, who had terrorized the town with violence in the past. The product of his work is coming back to literally haunt the town, with his crimes now creating supernatural scares for the village's inhabitants.
Supermassive's choice-based storytelling style will also fuel this new project, as players will be given options that directly impact how certain events play out. As seen in the studio's past projects, which include The Quarry and Until Dawn, those choices could result in the death of pivotal characters or other drastic consequences.
The game is the first to broaden the universe of Dead By Daylight, which made its mark as an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title. It is not the first collaboration involving Dead By Daylight, however, with partnerships including Alien, Chucky, and Nicolas Cage all hitting the game in the past year.
The Casting Of Frank Stone will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2024.
