Sims still dominating sales charts

More than a year after its release in early 2000, Electronic Arts' virtual life game, The Sims, has once again topped the latest PC Data list of best-selling games. The popular game has taken the top spot on the list for more than two months straight, while its expansion pack, The Sims: Livin' Large, has taken second place for almost as long. Hasbro Interactive's Roller Coaster Tycoon is also familiar to the top ten list--it has been on the list almost continuously since its release in March 1999, and it took third place again this week, as it has for several weeks now. Fourth place went to Sierra Sports' NASCAR Racing 4, a stock car racing simulation developed by Papyrus, and Havas Interactive's Hoyle Casino 2001 rounded out the top five.
