Sierra (officially) Ghostbust-ing

Wow, it doesn't take a prophet and his holy book to know that this game will suck.

Weaver I can do without but maybe they can talk Rick Moranis into doing it. This should jsut be awesome no matter what though.

The Zootfly demo looked really interesting, it's obvious this will be a more faithful rendition of the Movie, and with Aykroyd and Ramis writing it, at least if the game sucks the story and acting will be good with the entire main cast back, sans Weaver and Moranis.

Awesome! I like Ghostbusters. Unfortunately, most of us gamers know that many movie-liscensed games usually are not very good. I hope Ghostbusters is not one of those. I'm looking forward to it.

cool i like Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters was my favorite movie for a long time as a kid. Even if this game sucks I am sure it will be at least a bit fun just for the nastalgia value. Good job getting all the voice acting to step up too. Really nice. Hopefully they don't phone them in. And setting it in the early 90's is a bit different. Evidentally the 90's is now far enough away that we can "set" movies in them. God that makes me feel old.

I smell new Ghostbusters movie all over this... why else would EVERYONE be back together? I don't think Vivendi would have the money to pay everyone, which means most likely its studio backed, at least on the voice acting. Would also explain the multipule console releases. And the mediocre developer for next-gen, cos its more expensive to develop for 360, PS3, and PC (man hours, bigger team) than last-gen and portable hardware.

Ah man, I was excited until I saw who was handling this. Terminal Reality!? Sorry, but this game is now doomed to be mediocre at best.

I know that I'm dating myself here, but this is the best news I've heard all week. The Genesis GB game rocked and the movies (...even part 2) were boss! Long live Peter, Ray and Egon...

VERY COOL!

Hell Yeah! I've been waiting for a good Ghostbusters game to be made for the next-gen consoles. Seeing that the original pimps (Ramis and Akyroyd) will be working alongside the development teams makes me smile. My only doubts arise from the fact that the game is being developed for EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE which usually means that the game will either be delayed very long to perfect it on the PS3 and X360 or it will be rushed to completion and suffer graphically. Let's hope not...

Having both Aykroyd and Ramis onboard gives me hope.

FINALLY!!! ...I've been waiting for an official announcement ever since i watched the (gears of war esque) trailer like 6/12 month ago or something....IT LOOKED SWEET so am WELL excited! =D ...GB PWNS! : P

I am totally behind anything that Harold Ramis & company work on...especially Bill Murray. I challenge someone not to laugh at anything they've done.

I can see the Wii version letting you control the aim of the "stream" out of the proton pack. Hopefully it'll still keep the PG-13 humor like the first movie. I also remember Ernie Hudson being on the Super Mario Super Show. I think it'll be good if it's not rushed.

This is totally awesome. I just watched Ghostbusters on hallowenen and when I reached the end of the second movie, I was like, wtf, where the hell are Bill Murray and Dan Akryod? Then I saw this on G4 and my jaw dropped.

I hope it's as good as the Sega Genesis one, because that was the only good Ghostbusters game I played. I heard this game has co-op in it from kotaku.com. Lets just hope that it doesn't suck.

It's good to see that Ernie Hudson is on board. Finally, he gets in a GB game. The inclusion of other original actors is great, also. Like others, though, I'm hoping they get Rick Moranis as well. While I grew up on Sierra's games in the 80s and 90s, they only exist in name now, so that's meaningless to me. What's really important is the development studio, and neither Terminal Reality or Red Fly Studios stand out as great developers. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Getting the original writers on is good. I bet, though, that the original director of the two movies (Ivan Reitman, NOT Harold Ramis) is not involved at all.

I'm glad to hear that Sierra is doing this since their the ones that done Hulk Ultimate Destruction which was a great game.

Could be good, could be bad. I'm just disappointed that the guys who made this idea public have nothing to do with it. That's kinda messed up given that the little demo they had on the internet was pretty cool looking.

Well, this is interesting... A game sequel to the first two Ghostbusters movies. I guess Dan Aykroyd has given up trying to do the movie Ghostbusters 3 since he's going to be involved with this game. Hope this will be awesome and there could be possibly more games to continue the Ghostbusters storyline.

Cool. can't wait for the game. Sierra i'm sure will do a pretty good job with the license since i enjoyed their last game,Scarface on the xbox. I hope they get rick moranis involved.

Well it's nice to see all the original actors are doing their own roles and not some cheap, D-list rejects trying to act like the originals. No one can be Dr. Vankman except Murray, that's for sure. But what about Rick Moranis' character.

I can't wait to play this game!! The dev. studio Terminal Reality hasn't really put out anything super good so I hope that this will be their best game.
