Atari announced it has shipped Shadow Ops: Red Mercury, the new game from Seattle-based developer Zombie, for the Xbox. The first-person shooter has players assuming the guise of Frank Hayden, an American special forces operative charged with tracking down a batch of "Red Mercury"--a substance essential to the creation of a nuclear bomb--that has been stolen by terrorists. Recently reviewed by GameSpot, Shadow Ops: Red Mercury is rated "T" for Teen and retails for $49.99. A PC version of the game is due in October of 2004.
