Season 2 of Apple's mysterious thriller is back in production.

Apple's popular TV show Severance is back in production for Season 2. The show's official social media pages heralded the return to production, and director/producer Ben Stiller proclaimed, "back to work."

In the first image, we see Adam Scott's character, Mark, in a suit running down a hallway. We can only imagine what he is running to or from, but the show is full of people and situations that we can envision Scott's character being afraid of.

Severance premiered in February 2022 and quickly became popular quickly, picking up 14 Emmy nominations and ultimately winning a pair.

The show centers on a fictional biotech company called Lumon Industries where employees agree to a "severance" where their work and home memories are separate. Obviously, things go badly and there is evil stirring. Season 1 ended with a dramatic cliffhanger, so fans are eager for the show to return.

Season 2 actually began filming already, back in May 2023, but it was quickly shut down--along with countless other productions--due to the Hollywood labor strikes.

In addition to Scott, Severance stars Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, and John Turturro. Season 2 adds new cast members such as Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Ali Shawkat, and Merritt Wever.
