The first trailer for Netflix's latest original movie, The Adam Project, has arrived, and it looks very intriguing. Ryan Reynolds plays a time-travelling fighter pilot named Adam Reed who meets up with his 12-year-old self. They go on a mission together, along with his late father, to save the world.

"Past, meet future," Netflix said in the trailer's description. Going off the trailer, it looks like The Adam Project bears similarities to '80s action-adventure movies, and that seems like a good thing. The sci-fi nature of the movie also creates some thrilling sequences, with Reynolds' character wielding some kind of lightsaber-y weapon to deal with enemies. Check it out below.

The Adam Project is directed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Free Guy). Walker Scobell plays the younger version of Reynolds' character, while Mark Ruffalo plays his character's late father. The rest of the cast includes Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana, and Catherine Keener.

The Adam Project comes to Netflix on March 11. Reynolds, who also starred in Netflix's Red Notice and is coming back for the two planned sequels, spoke enthusiastically about his experience making The Adam Project. "To say I had the time of my life making this film would be an understatement," he said on Twitter.

The Adam Project is one of many new productions heading to Netflix in 2022. Netflix recently released a sizzle reel that showed more of the streaming platform's 2022 films, including Knives Out 2, The Gray Man, Spiderhead, Slumberland, and Enola Holmes 2, among others.
