See Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings Characters Wearing Masks In New COVID-19 PSA

Warner Bros. teams up with the CDC for a special ad campaign promoting masks.

Warner Bros. has partnered with the Ad Council and the CDC to release a new PSA to help encourage people to wear masks to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign is called "Mask Up America," and it features a number of famous Warner Bros. characters with masks digitally added to famous scenes in popular movies. Watch the video here at Entertainment Weekly and you'll see the likes of Harry Potter, Voldemort, Frodo Baggins, Wonder Woman, Neo, Joker, and Aquaman wearing masks.

"We know that face masks continue to be one of the most effective ways we can protect ourselves against the virus, and we're truly grateful to Warner for lending their talent and iconic films to support to this critical message," Ad Council President and CEO Lisa Sherman said in a statement to EW.

The United States of America has recorded more than 27 million COVID-19 cases and had more than 450,000 deaths, with cases and death totals rising daily.

The CDC's latest guidance is that people are recommended to wear masks in public settings and other events where they are around people. One of President Biden's first steps in taking on the virus was to make masks required on public transportation.
