After starring on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Bob Odenkirk is working with TV network AMC yet again for a new series called Lucky Hank. The first full-length trailer has now arrived, and it shows Odenkirk's character, an English department chairman named Hank, having what appears to be a mid-life crisis.

Odenkirk's character is having a tough time. His college is underfunded and his temper is getting him into trouble after his students surreptitiously record him calling his school "mediocrity's capital." A bunch of unfortunate things happen next, including Hank getting smacked in the face by a notebook, the binding rings of which get lodged into his nose. Here's the trailer:

"Professor Hank Devereaux toes the line between midlife crisis and full-blown meltdown, navigating the offbeat chaos in his personal and professional life--oddly proving tantrums get better with age," reads a line from the show's description.

The series is based on Richard Russo's 1997 novel Straight Man. It also features Mireille Enos as Hank's wife and Olivia Scott Welch as his daughter.

Aaron Zelman (Damages) and Paul Liberstein (The Office) are its showrunners, while Odenkirk is an executive producer. Lucky Hank is Odenkirk's first live-action TV show since Better Call Saul ended in 2022.

As for the wider Breaking Bad universe, no new TV shows or movies have been announced. However, series creator Vince Gilligan is making a new show for Apple TV+ featuring Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn.

Lucky Hank debuts March 19 on AMC.
