ROH's Danhausen Has Big Future Goals: Win TV Title And Team With Dalton Castle

Ring of Honor's Danhausen talks about his goals in the coming years, and not all of them are centered around winning championships.

Professional wrestler Danhausen has some serious goals for his character but in a world still in the middle of a pandemic obtaining them might take longer than expected. Currently signed to Ring of Honor since December of last year, the mischievous and macabre wrestler has some big goals for the future.

"So I think to be more of a mainstay on the television product would be great," Danhausen told Gamespot. "I feel like that's an obtainable goal. I think Danhausen would fit well with the TV title since he's also obsessed with TV."

The current ROH TV Champ, Dragon Lee, is in his first reign that's lasted over a year and started in December of 2019.

Danhausen also said he'd like to team with Dalton Castle. "He wears costumes, and that's something I love to do. But being on TV more and doing more PPVs would be cool."

With actual in-ring competition, there are opponents or "dream matches" Danhausen would love to have in the future. "I'd love to have a match with Gresham because of our contrast of styles," he explained. "He's definitely put a lot of eyes back on Ring of Honor."

Looking back at his old interviews under the Kid Gorgeous moniker, he wanted to be in NXT in five years, but things happened and goals shifted, and is proud to call Ring of Honor his home now. Now, as Danhausen, he has a completely different set of goals at this stage in his career.

"[Kid Gorgeous] was solely based on wrestling and no real personality. I think at the time, too, that NXT was really the only place on that level but now Impact is doing great, AEW exists obviously, Ring of Honor is doing great," he said.

"There are more options that are more sustainable. So who knows because in five years I want to be where I have the most eyes on me where we can do the best business creatively. That's always the goal with my character that is to bring in more eyes on these wrestlers, these amazing people, that you might not have seen otherwise. Whatever will get me the viewers," he continued. "I think that's the right answer since that's the most Danhausen-y way."
