Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman

New import action/adventure title puts gamers in control of the Samuri Gunman.

Comments

As far as third-person adventure games go, Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman is one of the stranger ones you'll find. A lone gunman who was riding through the East was ambushed and scarred by a mysterious ninja clan and barely survives the ordeal. Begging his master to teach him the ways of the samurai, Zan swears he'll have his revenge on those who did this to him.

Developed by UEP Systems (Coolboarders), Rising Zan is a game that plays sort of like MediEvil, but with a Sino-Western motif. You'll have to traverse nine treacherous levels in your quest, while fighting double-bladed straw dummies, ninjas, wizards, mace wielding giants, and all sorts of Japanese nightmares. It's possible you've never quite seen freaks like this in a video game before. While Rising Zan probably wouldn't make a great conversion to the US, it's still an interesting import title. It's a bit rough around the edges graphically though, so you'll want to wait for the import review.

In the meanwhile, check out these screenshots for a quick peek at the game.
